Terrace, BC – Canada

 

A lot can be said about this place in the dead of winter, majority of it not the most pleasant topics of conversation.  Minus -17celcius the day I arrived, boarding mountain closed down  due to excess snow..

 

Apparently it’s really nice in summer, I’m sure it would be with all the mountains surrounding it sticking out(I know really nice wording rama) majestically.

There was literally 2mins of sun shine in two weeks, not the kind of weather that works well for me.

Anyway, there are bear statues everywhere which I don’t really understand

 I went to one old lady yoga class in town which really annoyed me. Sorry if you ever read this that lady. Stop saying “and relax” “and do the beach ball roll”.

The other class I went to was by this guy Roger.  He’s an RMT and has travelled all around the world to India and Tibet, not sure where else, but he seemed to have a great feel for alignment – not so much flow and yogic ambiance(it was in a school room with fluoro lights glaring).

He told me a story of how the monks in Tibet where testing how many towels they could dry while putting them wet on a back of a monk who would then do his chi thing and dry them, the result; 27, or wait. was it 34?
